what's new ?  . . . . .

A man is flying in a hot air balloon and realises he is lost. He reduced  height and spots a man below. He lowers the balloon further and shouts:  “You there! I promised my friend I’d meet him 30 minutes ago, but I’m lost. Where am I?”

The man below says “You are in a hot air balloon, hovering approximately 30 feet above ground level at 52 degrees 19 minutes North and 01 degrees 25 minutes 12 seconds West”

“You must be an engineer” says the balloonist.

“I am, how did you know?” replies the man.

“Well, everything you have told me is probably technically perfect but I have no idea what to make of your information and the fact is that I am still lost” says the balloonist.

“You must be a Naval Officer” says the engineer.

“I am, how did you guess?” the balloonist replied.

“Well,” replied the engineer, “firstly you are speaking down to me without even knowing who I am. Secondly, you occupy an elevated position totally unbefitting to your grasp of the situation and thirdly you have no idea of where you are going. Next, you have made a promise and have no idea how to keep it. Then you expect me to solve your problem. The fact is that you are in exactly the same position as you were in before we met, but somehow it’s now my fault and finally, you are incapable of saying please or thank you.”
